Exercise Tips for Extremely Cold Weather ❄️🧣

When temperatures drop, staying active is still important but safety comes first.

Dress in layers to stay warm and adjust as your body temperature changes. Choose footwear with good traction to reduce the risk of slips and falls. Warm up indoors before heading outside to protect muscles and joints, and keep workouts shorter when it is especially cold. On very cold days, consider safe indoor activities like stretching, light strength training, or walking in place.

If cold weather aggravates joint pain, breathing issues, or balance concerns, it is best to exercise indoors. Regular wellness visits can help you choose activities that fit your health needs year-round.
