I have been a Certified and licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant for four years. I am currently at Belmont University completing my Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy. I have a variety of background experience in pediatric outpatient, school-based pediatrics, outpatient ortho, inpatient settings, and skilled nursing facilities. I am passionate about this profession, because it allows me to help individuals live life to their fullest capacity, no matter the diagnosis. Some of my favorite pastimes are reading, shopping, traveling, food-tasting, and spending time with my husband and fur baby. My plans for the future are to become a Certified Hand Therapist as well as become a Certified Autism Specialist.

My name is Micah Brooke Smith. I am originally from Duck Hill, but currently live in Brandon with my husband, Ben Smith. I attend UMMC physical therapy school and will graduate in May. The reason I chose to become a physical therapist is because I love to serve others and I love seeing people return to the activities they enjoy. I look forward to learning from the expertise of the staff at THMH for my last clinical rotation.
