Dementia is a confusing, frustrating, anguish that is hard to know unless you are in the thick of it as a person living with Dementia or a caregiver. There is this longing for the way life use to be, the person they once were, along with this sadness for the loss of their life yet to come. It is an unimaginable fate to know you are loosing your memories and many other parts of who you are and to not be able to do anything about it.

Whether you know it or not, you most likely are effective by dementia. You may be the one with the disease, or it might be your parent, grandparent, neighbor, or people in your community. No matter how you know dementia now, please support caregivers and the individuals with Dementia. Sometimes all it takes is understanding.
