Lymphatic System -A key player in your immune system is an unsung hero: the lymphatic system.

The lymph system helps your body fight infection and disease by removing cellular waste, toxins, bacteria and viruses. It includes your lymph fluid, which runs along every blood vessel in your body , plus your lymph nodes, bone marrow, tonsils and spleen.

Your lymphatic system also helps with fluid balance, hormone movement and nutrient and fat absorption.

Constriction, blockage, infection or disease can make it hard for your lymphatic system to move lymphatic fluid. When that happens, lymph fluid accumulates, hampering your lymph system’s ability to do its job. A telltale sign of slow or blocked lymph movement is swelling and pain.

Use our new Healthy Lymph oil found on the Healthy Girls Breast oil website to massage lymphatic vessels and lymph nodes so it can be filtered. Especially armpits and your neck and jaw and arms and legs .

What can lymphatic drainage massage help with?

– support the immune system’s ability to work properly

– reduce pain, stiffness and swelling

- aid the digestive system with nutrient and fat absorption

– soften and hydrate the body’s superficial fascia

– stimulate the parasympathetic arm of the autonomic nervous system, inducing calm

– take stress off the cardiovascular system

– counter lymphedema, a condition that can have serious medical consequences and occurs when the lymphatic system is damaged through injury or gets blocked by cancer cells, for example. Other simple actions will support your lymphatic system too. Here are a few from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center:

Slow and deep breathing can help move lymph fluid.

Physical activity, even just a 15- to 20-minute walk, helps shift lymph fluid around your body and eliminate waste.

Dry brushing in circular motions starting at your extremities and working toward your core can keep your lymph system healthy.

Swimming is physical activity, which means it moves lymph fluid — but moving your body in water also creates compression, which aids fluid movement.

Tapping the area right above your collarbones lightly can activate the lymph capillaries.

This is for men or women. But we mostly wanted to add a product that young, middle age, and old men wouldn’t mind using to help their lymphatic system (even though Healthy Girls® Breast Oil benefits both men and women too).

Making sauerkraut from our garden produce today 😋 It’s such an easy recipe ! You can actually culture any vegetables like carrots and beets too. They provide amazing benefits for your gut health and immune heath!
Recipe:
3/4 lb cabbage (about 1 head)(or other veggies) shredded (I use a food processor)
1 tablespoon salt
(Taste test - you don’t want it too salty because it will not let it naturally culture)
Knead with a gloved hand for 10 minutes to create its own brine
Put into quart jar and push down
Save a cabbage leaf and cover the top
Put a lid on
Let set for 2 weeks - release gases every couple days by uncovering and cover again

Excited to be prepared this coming winter with Homemade mullein tea and cough syrup !
Mullein tea is often used to soothe a sore throat, calm coughs, and loosen mucus.
Ingredients
1 to 2 teaspoons dried mullein leaves
1 cup boiling water
Optional: 1 tsp honey, a lemon wedge, or mint for flavor
Instructions
Place the dried mullein leaves in a mug.
Pour 1 cup of boiling water over the leaves.
Steep for 10–15 minutes. For stronger tea, you can steep for up to 30 minutes.
Important: Strain the tea through a fine-mesh sieve lined with a coffee filter or cheesecloth
Stir in honey or add a lemon wedge, if desired.

Homemade mullein and wild cherry bark cough syrup
This recipe uses the respiratory-soothing properties of mullein and cherry bark, with honey to calm a sore throat.
Ingredients
1 pint distilled water
1/8 cup dried mullein leaves
1/8 cup dried wild cherry bark
½ cup raw honey

Instructions
Warm the distilled water in a pot over medium-low heat.
Add the dried mullein leaves and wild cherry bark. Allow the mixture to warm for at least 20 minutes and up to 2 hours. The longer it simmers, the stronger the syrup will be.
Strain the herbs from the liquid using a fine-mesh or cheese cloth. Discard the plant material.
Once the liquid has cooled slightly, stir in the raw honey until it has dissolved completely.
Pour the finished syrup into a sealed glass container. Store it in the refrigerator for up to one month or freeze it for 8–10 months.
Take by the spoonful to soothe coughs and irritated throatsh
