✨ Let’s Talk Ferritin (Storage Iron) ✨

Ferritin is your body’s stored iron — and it matters a LOT more than most people realize.

Low ferritin doesn’t just affect energy. It can show up as:
• Brain fog
• Hair thinning or shedding
• Anxiety
• Heart palpitations
• Poor stress tolerance
• Exercise intolerance

You can have a “normal” hemoglobin and still have suboptimal ferritin levels that are affecting how you feel day-to-day.

I check ferritin regularly in my patients because optimizing iron stores can be a game changer for mood, focus, hair health, and overall vitality.

If you’ve been told your labs are “normal” but you don’t feel normal — this is one marker worth looking at. 💛

KPV is a tiny anti-inflammatory peptide naturally derived from α-MSH, a hormone your body already uses to calm immune and inflammatory responses.

You do not need to be an established MaineCHI patient to access this peptide.

âś…A brief peptide consult is required to ensure safe use and to address any questions or concerns.

Education and support are core principles at MaineCHI—whether you’re a long-term patient or just getting started, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Achieving full-scope legal recognition of the naturopathic profession throughout the U.S is one of the five goals of AANP’s strategic plan.

🍝 If you’re not going fully gluten-free, choose Italian pasta.

Italy bans potassium bromate and strictly limits glyphosate (Round Up) — two things still allowed in many U.S. wheat products. Italian noodles are simply cleaner, less processed, and easier on digestion.

Why avoid potassium bromate?
Studies show it can:
• Disrupt thyroid function (competes with iodine)
• Increase oxidative stress
• Act as a possible carcinogen (IARC Group 2B)
• Aggravate chemical sensitivities and MCAS-type symptoms
• Affect kidney health and cellular DNA
• Contribute to fatigue, brain fog, and inflammation in sensitive individuals

🇮🇹 If you’re going to enjoy pasta — make it an Italian brand. Your gut and thyroid will thank you.
