In Loving Memory of Eric Allen Warren
September 25, 1960 – October 17, 2025

Eric Allen Warren, a devoted husband, compassionate nurse, and lifelong adventurer, passed away peacefully in McAllen, Texas, on October 17, 2025. He was born on September 25, 1960, in Hartford, Connecticut.

Eric lived a life full of purpose, curiosity, and love. A proud graduate of the Pikes Peak Community College School of Nursing, Class of 1996, he dedicated 27 years of his life to caring for others as a registered ER nurse. His compassion extended beyond people—he had a deep love for animals and founded HOWL, an animal rescue non-profit. Among his many beloved companions were his mountain lion Shiloh, his grey timber wolf Kiah, and his three cherished cats—Mars, Morpheus, and Shiba.

Before nursing, Eric’s journey was as diverse as his passions. He worked as a barber at The Head Shoppe, served as a patrol officer, sang in the choir, swam on the Gilbert swim team, and even ran a chain of restaurants. He was also a certified diving instructor and took flying lessons—always seeking new experiences and challenges.

Eric’s adventurous spirit took him around the world, from Thailand, Greece, and Russia to the Dominican Republic and Mexico, as well as across many states in the U.S. He loved the ocean, the sun, and the open road—especially when riding his Harley-Davidson.

He had a special love for music, especially good old rock and his favorite song, Titanium by David Guetta. Eric enjoyed teaching English to Russians and other foreign students, sharing not just language but his warmth and humor. He was known for his unforgettable chili, Spanish rice, and the pancakes he lovingly made almost every morning.

Above all, Eric loved life and those he shared it with. He adored his mother, Patricia, and lived each day with boundless gratitude and joy. He was previously married to Gabriele Warren, and is survived by his wife, Elena Shatalova, who will forever cherish their love and the countless memories they created together.

Elena fondly remembers the first time she fell in love with Eric when he cooked dinner for her in cold Siberia—a love that grew through shared adventures and quiet mornings, from spicy chili in the Dominican Republic to sunsets in Mexico.

Eric will be remembered for his big heart, adventurous soul, and the light he brought into every life he touched.

May his spirit continue to soar free—over mountains, oceans, and every horizon he dreamed of.

Connie-Lee Hagarty, 88, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025 at her home, as was her wish. Her last days were spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren by her side, surrounded by stories, laughter, and prayers.

Connie was born in Hartford on March 12, 1937 to the late Daniel and Constance Harrington. She grew up in West Hartford, attending Mount Saint Joseph Academy before earning a scholarship to the Saint Francis School of Nursing.

In 1958, Connie married her beloved husband, the late Joseph Hagarty Jr. They lived in Granby a few years before moving to Winsted to raise their children. Always a fan of nature, Connie and Joe loved trips to Cape Cod and Maine, but eventually decided they'd rather spend summers at a seasonal campground. After Joe's sad passing, Connie still camped by herself or with grandkids for a number of years.

The role of full time mother when her kids were small was important to Connie. She eventually returned to work as a special education para at Greenwoods Elementary School in Winsted, and as an RN at Winsted Memorial Hospital, and Dr. Vinoni's office in Torrington.

Connie is survived by three of her children, Mary-Beth Hagarty and husband Frank Wertz of Cape Ann, MA, Laurie Hagarty of Winsted, and Tommy Hagarty and wife Kara of Norfolk. She also has a daughter-in-law, Charlene Hagarty, widow to Connie's late son, Daniel Hagarty of Winsted.

Her memory also lives on in her grandchildren, Seth Hagarty, Kelsey Hagarty, Kayleigh Raine Hagarty, Kallyn Hagarty, Hunter Gomez, Sean Hagarty, Heather Lemere and Jaylyn Lemere.

In addition, Connie is survived by her great-grandchildren, Nereya, Jeremiah, and Julissa Villanueva, and Ilyana Deberry; and her sister, Danielle Conlon and husband Patrick. Several nieces, nephews, and other family members also mourn the loss. Another sister, Sue Hart and husband Bernie, predeceased Connie.

An amazing example of resiliency, Connie survived many serious health issues, a catastrophic fire, and more. She loved wildlife, reading, cooking, and classic rock, especially the Eagles. She was known as the "neighborhood nurse" to her children's friends, tending to everyone's bumps and bruises. As we mourn her loss, we celebrate the kindness she brought to the world.

At Connie's request, her service will be private. She will be buried at Forest View Cemetery. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted has care of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to: City of Winsted Fire Department, ATTN: Donations, 27 Elm Street,Winsted, CT 06098-1624. Visit an online guestbook at montano-shea.com.
