I get a lot of pushback from my patients’ PCPs - not because they don’t care, but because they don’t always understand how or why I’m testing certain things.

If they’ve never ordered it or been trained to interpret it, the conversation quickly shifts to “who ordered this?” instead of “how do we help this patient get better?”

I’ve been on both sides, so I get it. But staying unfamiliar with evolving approaches can’t be the reason we miss the mark.
