SKIN CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

All May long, Skin Cancer Awareness Month encourages us to learn preventative skin care habits and seek screenings for early intervention.

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States, and it's also one of the most preventable. Wearing sun protection either in the form of clothing or broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen and seeking shade when outdoors is the first line of defense. Knowing your moles is another line of defense and how to spot a change in your skin helps in early detection. Most skin cancers are highly treatable.

NATIONAL STROKE AWARENESS MONTH

May is World Stroke Month. Many health and heart organizations come together every May to raise awareness about the causes and effects of stroke.

One of their biggest campaigns is FAST, teaching the world to know the symptoms of stroke and how to respond quickly to help save a life.

Face - By asking the person to smile you can tell immediately if one side of the face droops.

Arm - Ask the person to raise both arms. Observe to see if one arm drifts lower than the other.

Speech - Slurred speech is a symptom of stroke. Ask the person to repeat a single sentence.

Time - Call 911-Fast. Time may be the difference between life and death or even partial and full recovery.

We wrapped up an amazing Healthcare Week with a cookout for the best team around! 🌭🍔💜

Today’s theme was supposed to be Pajama Day… but the team had other plans. They decided to prank our Clinic Administrator Jessica by ALL dressing up as her without telling her! 😂 Meanwhile, Jessica proudly showed up in her pajamas while everyone else arrived in their best “Jessica” outfits.

Needless to say, the laughs were nonstop and the prank was absolutely perfect! 🤣

This team truly knows how to work hard, support one another, and have a great time together. We are beyond grateful for each and every person who makes this clinic feel like family every single day. Thank you all for an unforgettable Healthcare Week! 💜

Today’s theme was Hawaiian Day, and the clinic was filled with bright colors, tropical shirts, leis, and lots of smiles! It’s been so much fun celebrating the incredible people who work tirelessly every day to care for our community.

What a fun Health Care Week so far — yesterday was Wacky Wednesday and our team brought the laughs! We had a popcorn bar, a catered lunch, and so many creative outfits and goofy moments that reminded me how lucky we are to work with this crew. Thank you to everyone who helped plan and join in — your energy, kindness, and teamwork make our workplace truly special. Here’s to the rest of the week and many more memories together!
