🌍💛 Today is World Smile Day!

A smile may seem small, but it can carry so much power—joy, kindness, confidence, and hope. For families who walk the cleft journey, a smile is more than just an expression… it’s a symbol of courage, healing, and endless love.

Harvey Ball, who created the original smiley face, wanted this day to be about doing acts of kindness that make someone smile.

This week our team added Smile Train’s “Smile Wall,” to our clinic. Leading up to today, patients wrote “what makes them smile” on the wall. We had some sweet visitors to our cleft clinic to bring extra smiles and have truly embraced this campaign for World Smile Day!!

Here’s to the smiles that remind us how far we’ve come, and the ones that inspire us to keep sharing kindness. 💕

We are excited to welcome back our former resident, Dr. Cassie Driscoll, as a staff physician. Dr. Driscoll will be seeing patients of all ages, focusing on conditions from the elbow down, including the forearm, wrist, and hand. Her expertise also includes peripheral nerve issues, such as brachial plexus injuries, as well as congenital hand conditions.
