Mark your calendars!

Remember that you MUST have proof of a previous Rabies Vaccine in order to receive a 3 year vaccine. If they had their vaccine here and you lost your certificate, please come in or email us (davidsonanimalshelter@gmail.com) BEFORE Saturday November 1st to get another copy so we can keep the clinic running smoothly the day of.

NOTE: We still have FREE 1 year Rabies Vaccines currently available any time Monday-Friday from 12pm - 4pm for those that would prefer to skip the line or can't make it that day. No appointment necessary.

You do not have to be a resident of Davidson County.

October 16 - Raccoon from Stemp Everhart Rd Thomasville

October 8th - Fox from Woodberry Dr off of Old Linwood Rd Lexington / Linwood area

September 24th - Cat from Riverview Rd, Southmont area (Lexington)

Please make sure your animals are vaccinated against rabies!

The Davidson County Animal Shelter provides 1 year Rabies Vaccine for $5 Monday - Friday from 12pm to 4pm. Although we still have plenty of Free vaccines available currently.

If you are unable to transport your animals to the shelter or your veterinarian for their vaccine, the local nonprofit rescue Every Snout Counts of the Piedmont, Inc. provides low cost at-home 1 year Rabies Vaccines. Please contact them at everysnoutcounts@gmail.com for more information.

“Monster” has many cute names from our employees here and is a clinic favorite! He was surrendered to us by someone who was living in their car and was extremely malnourished. Since then he has gained weight, confidence and is VERY playful! Monster is looking for his forever home and will go to an APPROVED home only. He is very special to us.
