Happy Pride Month! 🌈

At ABC of NC, we believe every individual deserves to be seen, valued, and celebrated for who they are. This month, we proudly celebrate the strength, authenticity, and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community and reaffirm our commitment to creating spaces where everyone feels welcome, supported, and empowered to be themselves.

We're also excited to share that ABC of NC will be participating in the Pride Winston-Salem Festival, Parade, and Food Truck Rodeo on Saturday, June 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Downtown Arts District! We hope you'll stop by, say hello, and celebrate with us. 💙

💦 Summer Fun Day was a splash-tastic success!

From water slides and sensory bins to pool games and outdoor exploration, our students enjoyed a day filled with fun and connection. Experiences like these help create meaningful opportunities for learning, social interaction, and joyful moments! After all, who doesn't love a bounce house on a Friday? 🤣

We're grateful for the dedicated staff who made this day possible and for the students who brought the smiles! ☀️

🌿✨ A new sensory experience is blooming on campus!

Thanks to our incredible Garden Club, we now have a beautiful new Sensory Planter for students and clients to explore through sight, smell, sound, touch, and even taste!

This interactive planter includes:
💜 Lavender (smell)
🌾 Purple fountain grass (sound)
🌼 Yellow lantana (sight)
🍋 Lemon balm (smell & taste)
🌿 Licorice plant (touch)

Hands-on sensory experiences like this help create calming, engaging, and meaningful opportunities for learning and exploration. We’re so grateful for the creativity and care that went into making this space special for our community! 💙

Please join us in giving a warm ABC of NC welcome to two of our newest team members, Desmond and Brianna! 👏💙

Brianna, pictured first, joins us with more than three years of experience in the field and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She has always had a passion for helping children grow and thrive, and discovered ABA through a mutual connection that inspired her to pursue the field. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, cooking for loved ones, spending time with her husband and daughter, kayaking, and enjoying sushi (just hold the chocolate—she’s allergic! 🍣).

Desmond brings nearly four years of experience as an RBT and graduated from UNCG with a B.S. in Psychology. After college, he was looking for a career connected to his passion for psychology and discovered ABA — a field he quickly grew to love. Outside of work, he enjoys driving, playing games, spending time with friends, and never says no to a good plate of pasta. 🍝

We’re excited to have both Brianna and Desmond join our team and look forward to the care, passion, and positivity they’ll bring to our ABC of NC community!

In observance of Memorial Day, ABC of NC will be closed on Monday, May 25th. ❤🤍💙

As we enjoy the holiday weekend, we pause to honor and remember the brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

We wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend and look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday!
