I received my doctorate from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1999. I have worked in university counseling centers, reproductive health clinics, long-term care facilities and with federal programs. My areas of interest include but are not limited to geriatric counseling, reproductive health issues, multicultural psychology, grief and loss, consultation, career exploration, psychotherapy

in long-term care settings and assertiveness training. I am an interactive, eclectic therapist (orientations include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-focused, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, REBT). I provide support, insight and feedback as individuals seek necessary change to move forward in life, addressing issues and challenges in a non-judgmental and compassionate manner to free them to explore other goals and options, obtaining resolutions (and sometimes mere acceptance) of issues.
