It’s not uncommon for older adults to feel a sense of pride or independence that makes them resistant to help, even when it’s needed.

As caregivers, it’s important to approach these conversations with empathy and understanding. Listen as Dr. Barry Jacobs, clinical psychologist and national caregiving expert, provides insight to help ease the transition on the ComForConnections podcast: https://ow.ly/Zwuw50WhEN5

24/7/365. That's the life of home care. This is "why" we do it. This is from the wife a very dear client that we had the pleasure to serve for the past two years. A proud who was sent our way from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in 2023, and a former law enforcement officer with the Winston-Salem Police Department, this client and family brought meaning and joy to our ' work every week. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve our clients and their families, 24/7/365.

⚠️ Winter Weather Hazards⚠️

Due to winter weather, there is a risk of icy/slick conditions forming on roads, sidewalks, and driveways overnight, creating hazardous travel conditions. If you must travel, please exercise extreme caution. And most importantly, slow down!

Officers will be responding to calls as quickly as possible, but due to call volumes typically increasing during winter weather, response times may be delayed. We appreciate your patience in advance.

Stay safe and check local weather updates regularly. ❄️

That's how many hours of "free" labor are provided by the 53 million in America today. $600 billion dollars is what that care is conservatively valued at as of 2023. 61% of employees in the US today are balancing their paid job with their family responsibilities. The estimated annual productivity loss for the employing organizations is $44 billion. Thank a family caregiver today, odds are you know several.

Lots of wonderful memories were made in that space, but as our team has continued to grow over the years, along with our caregivers and clients, more space was needed. You can now find us on Shepherd Street in Stratford Executive Park (just off Stratford Road). With our larger space, and more central location, we look forward to continuing to provide thoughtful and compassionate care to , and their families, throughout the Winston-Salem metro area for decades to come!
