Our case report describing the increasing inadequacy of real-time PCR HLA typing for deceased donors was released today! This was a collaboration between the Atrium Wake Forest HLA lab and the HLA lab at Southwest Immunodiagnostics in San Antonio. It is time for NGS HLA typing for deceased donors.

Our gold medalist baker, Elaine, has baked three different recipes for the Olympic Chocolate Muffin, made famous by Norwegian swimmer Henrik Christiansen. So far consensus is that the gold goes to yellow, the silver to red and the bronze to brown. Needless to say that they are all delicious. Thanks Elaine!
