Meet Brendan: Donor Center Coordinator!

Before joining the MIS team as a Donor Center Coordinator 2.5 years ago, Brendan was in the banking industry. “My family was heavily involved in eye & tissue donation when I was growing up — including my mom working in tissue recovery for many years — which lead to my interest in entering this role” he shares.

“The most rewarding part of my job is making connections with the families I speak with. This role can be hard, but I love feeling like I’m making a difference and comforting families as much as I can.”

Outside of work, Brendan is a devoted plant lover — and this year, he completely transformed his landscaping. From fruit trees to blackberry and raspberry bushes to grape vines, he’s spent nearly every spare moment planting, learning, and watching his garden flourish!

The Miracles In Sight team was honored to attend the SECU’s District 24 and District 44 Advisory Board meeting and accept the Mission Development Grant from the SECU Foundation!
This funding will help strengthen the capital campaign for our new facility and lab, as well as support the overall growth of our development department through collaboration with a consultant. We are deeply grateful to the SECU Foundation for this timely and generous contribution!

A Tribute To: John Cordeiro, Jr.

A Navy veteran, artist, and storyteller, John brought creativity and connection to everything he did—from designing video games and graphics to sharing songs, laughter, and friendship wherever he went. John had a gift for making everyone feel like family. Whether singing with his wife, cheering on his kids and grandkids, or striking up a conversation with a stranger, his warmth and joy were unforgettable. His love for life and the people around him continue to inspire all who knew him. 💙
