Selecting a patient for Opioid Therapy:

1️⃣Very thorough review of the record & past opioids.

2️⃣Understand exactly what their pain complaint is.

3️⃣No red flag behaviors & they understand the risks.

4️⃣Appropriate urine drug screen.

5️⃣Document ALL of your justifications.
