We’ve moved!
At the end of February, we moved our home and my office to a beautiful house in Winston. It’s a homeschooling mom’s dream to work from home so we can stay in the rhythm of good meals, good work, and good cheer.
Thank you to all who have come to the inaugural month of my practice here at my home, and to those of you who have not yet had the opportunity, I hope to see you soon.
Remaining openings for April:
Tuesday 4/21 @ 3 or 4pm
Weds 4/22 @ 12:30pm
Thurs 4/23 @ 10am or 1pm
Tues 4/28 @ 9am or 4pm
Weds 4/29 @ 3 or 4pm
Thurs 4/30 @ 1pm
To whence flyeth the time?
It is a busy time of year, and I’m excited to be attending a workshop with the foremost fascia researcher and creator of Anatomy Trains Tom Myers in late April. I will be out of the office 4/10-4/12, and 4/25-4/27.
His work has been seminal in the development of my massage technique, as the fascial training aspect helps us get lasting results on the table as we lean into the plastic quality of fascia, as opposed to the elastic qualities of muscle or tendon. When we open the areas that are stuck in the fascia, the fascia glides and the tensegrity (https://www.anatomytrains.com/fascia/tensegrity/) of the system is restored so that you can have proper kinetic chain engagement, muscle firing patterns, less pain and more proprioception!
I can heartily recommend Tom Myers’ self-care routine for the neck (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLFSjfoSJjQ) . Though highly clinical, you can let that anatomical language just slide right off and follow along with the movements!
If you need more support, book a session with me.
May God bless you richly,
Claire
