The Ripple Reflection Garden is now enriching daily life for Arborview’s memory care residents.

Thanks to the generous support of Frances and Klynt Ripple, the beautifully and sensitively renovated courtyard features a gentle water element and interactive musical instruments to encourage engagement.

Music plays an important role in dementia care—stimulating memory, reducing agitation, and creating moments of joy. We’re already seeing the garden become a special place for residents, families, visitors--and Rance--to enjoy together.

On this Memorial Day, residents gathered in gratitude, reflection, and quiet appreciation, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms so often taken for granted.

With deep thanks to Harry Underwood for playing Taps, Gwendolyn Lytle for her beautiful rendition of God Bless America, and Bert Sanders for his gentle prayer.

Croquet Day was a hit this week!

Internationally renowned croquet professionals Jeff & Eileen Soo returned to share their expertise with residents. Through small group instruction and engaging demonstrations, they helped participants fine-tune their strategies and sharpen their skills—all in a relaxed, supportive environment where learning and fun took priority over competition.

The Hot Dogger Lunch as always was a highlight.

Over and over, residents prove there is no limit to trying to master a new skill or continuing to improve an old one.

Thanks for joining us again, Jeff and Eileen!

The Resident Landscape Committee truly outdid themselves with today’s Spring Fling & Garden Tours.

Each resident garden offered its own blend of creativity, beauty, and thoughtful innovation, reflecting this year’s focus on simplicity, sustainability, and eco-friendly practices. From pollinator-friendly plantings to smart, green gardening techniques, the tours
highlighted a shared commitment to caring for our environment.

With a lively Farmer’s Market, native plant sale, trolley rides, wine tasting, and an evening buffet, the day was filled with connection, inspiration, and joy.

A beautiful example of active aging—where passion, creativity, purpose, and community continue to bloom.

We were privileged today to welcome Ada Limón, the 24th Poet Laureate of the United States, for a poetry reading and thoughtful conversation with residents and staff.

Her work, filled with storytelling, hope, and resilience, invites us to look more closely at our world—and to care more deeply for one another. It was a beautiful reflection of our Art of Living philosophy, reminding us of the power of words to connect, uplift, and inspire.
