Getting the Most Out of Your Child’s Wellness Exam
Well visits are an important time to check growth, development, and keep your child healthy and coming prepared helps us make the most of your time together. Well visits focus on prevention and development, while sick visits are best for addressing specific concerns or symptoms.
Before your visit, it’s helpful to think about any updates since your child’s last appointment. This might include recent illnesses, urgent care visits, or any changes you’ve noticed in their health or behavior. Be ready to share current medications (including vitamins or supplements) and any new allergies or reactions.
We’ll also talk through your child’s daily routines—things like feeding or diet, sleep patterns, and bathroom habits. These give us important insight into overall health. Development is another big focus, so we’ll want to hear about new skills or any concerns you may have, whether it’s rolling, talking, learning, or social interactions.
If your child is in school or daycare, updates on behavior, learning, or social development are always helpful. And of course, bring along any forms that need to be completed and come with any questions you’ve been wondering about—nothing is too small.
Being prepared helps us provide the best care possible and keep your child on track for a healthy future
