We are so grateful to the incredible volunteers who came together to spread joy and smiles during our Animals at the Farm Day celebration for National Skilled Nursing Care Week! 🐾❤️

Friends of the Stokes Shelter Inc. brought adorable kittens, the Forsyth Humane Society shared playful puppies, Riverwood Therapeutic Riding Center brought miniature ponies, and Greg Hall delighted staff and residents with a special llama visit.

Our Spring Celebration: Sip, Savor, and Bloom was a wonderful afternoon of seasonal joy! 🌸 Residents enjoyed fresh flowers, sweet treats, refreshing drinks, live music, and time together in great company.

We were also excited to welcome Erica Palmiter, Public Art Project Planner for the City of Winston-Salem, who shared insight into inspiring public art projects taking shape across the city. Local artist Dean Johnson showcased his beautiful floral paintings, and The Almost Irish Band filled the afternoon with lively music. 🎶

At Salemtowne, we care deeply about every aspect of our residents’ well-being, including their oral health. 🦷

This past week, the NC Department of Health and Human Services Oral Health Section visited with our nursing team to provide education on updated best practices for senior oral health care.

We are grateful for the opportunity to continue learning and providing the highest quality care for our residents!

All week long, we celebrated National Skilled Nursing Care Week, and today we wrapped up the festivities in a big way with a campus-wide Garden Party Picnic! 🌷☀️

🎉 After months of studying, testing, and project work, our Life Enrichment Manager, Miranda Loufek, has successfully earned her certification from the International Council on Active Aging (ICAA) as a Wellness Leader.

We are grateful to the ICAA for its mission to help professionals better understand how to create more meaningful, person-centered wellness experiences for older adults, and we are equally grateful that Salemtowne continues to invest in the education and growth of its team members.

Miranda’s continued learning reflects our shared commitment to building a community where wellness, purpose, and lifelong growth remain at the heart of resident life.
