This Veterans Day is a day for all Americans to come together to thank and support all those who have fought and served so bravely and selflessly to preserve the freedoms our country was founded on. We at Twin City Cremations and Funeral Services would like to sincerely thank our veterans for the gift they have provided to every American citizen – the gift of freedom. These brave men and women sacrificed their personal lives as well as their safety to protect and defend this great nation so that we, as Americans, could have the freedoms we hold so dear. We thank you and truly appreciate your service.

Our founding fathers recognized God’s role in the creation and development of our country by incorporating this into our constitution. “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” Although July 4th is not a religious holiday, this is a good time to reflect on God’s goodness and faithfulness to us as a nation. Leviticus 25:10 says “Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof.” This inscription is found on the Liberty Bell as well. Let us take this time on our country’s birthday to reflect and be thankful for God’s blessings and pray for His continued blessings as we commit our lives to Him.
We are also thankful to our men and women who have dedicated their lives so we could remain free.

Monday, May 28, 2018 we will be celebrating Memorial Day. Even though it is a holiday we believe many have forgotten its meaning. It is a day set aside to remember the sacrifice the men and women of our military have so bravely given that allows us as Americans to live in a country that is free. But freedom is not free. Our freedom was paid for by our brave soldiers, whose love for this country gave them the courage to fight for our rights as a free nation. Please join us in paying tribute to those that have given their devotion, loyalty and their lives for this United States of America.

In honor of Veterans’ Day, we would like to say “Thank You!” to our veterans and let all of them know how much we appreciate the sacrifices you and your families have made, and are continuing to make, to assure our freedoms in this country. We would not have had the God-given privileges that we are so blessed to have were it not for these men and women who have given of themselves so unselfishly. We also owe a great deal to the families who have been at home supporting their Mothers, Fathers, Brothers, Sisters, etc. serving us in various locations across the world. God bless all of our vets and God bless our country!!

Feeling so blessed and appreciative as we hang a special gift given to us by the Cruz family! Mr. Price generously presented us with an original painting by his father, Carlos Cruz. It is a lovely landscape of waterfalls that create such a peaceful and serene feeling! Painting is a hobby that Mr. Cruz truly enjoyed. We are very honored to have a painting created by such a talented artist hanging in our conference room! A huge “Thank You!!” to Mr. Price and all the Cruz family for sharing something so beautiful from someone they loved!

No, this is not promoting healthy eating but it is promoting GOOD eating! Tomorrow Krispy Kreme will be celebrating their 80th anniversary! Go by your local Krispy Kreme and buy a dozen donuts at the regular price and get the second dozen for 80 cents!! Meet you there! Yum! Yum!

Many people are not aware that a pre-need is transferable. If someone creates a pre-need at a funeral home, that pre-need can be used at any funeral home you choose. We have staff that can assist you with this process. we also have the ability to handle any type of service you choose. We would love to meet with you and discuss what you would like.
