Come see us at the 2026 NCHCFA Convention & Expo! "Peace, Love, and Long Term Care: Celebrating 70 Groovy Years" will run from February 22nd-25th at the Sheraton Four Seasons in Greensboro. Formed in 1955, NCHCFA represents and supports nearly 400 member facilities providing quality care to residents of skilled nursing facilities in North Carolina. It remains the state’s oldest and largest association dedicated to advancing the skilled nursing profession.

It also serves as a tribute to their hard work and unwavering commitment, highlighting the vital support they provide to both their colleagues and their patients. We salute our pharmacy technicians and thank them for their dedicated service! They do whatever it takes to provide excellent care to our nursing communities!

First observed in June 1977, National CNA Week celebrates these individuals and their invaluable contributions on the frontlines of healthcare. This year's theme of "We Are the Champions" emphasizes the pivotal role that CNAs play in patient care and well-being.

It’s National Skilled Nursing Care Week! Formerly known as National Nursing Home Week, this celebration was established in 1967 by the American Health Care Association and starts each year on Mother’s Day. Skilled nursing care centers across the country are encouraged to host events that honor the individuals who reside, work, and volunteer therein. This year’s theme, “Tapestry of Life,” highlights the meaningful stories that make up each person’s journey in skilled nursing care. “From residents and families to caregivers and staff, everyone adds a unique thread that is woven into this vibrant tapestry,” states the AHCA. We celebrate every individual who lives and works at the nursing communities we serve!

We honor these dedicated professionals for their hard work and dedication to our long-term care facilities and their residents!

Come visit our booth at LeadingAge North Carolina's Conference & Expo! This event will be held May 6-9 at the Embassy Suites in Myrtle Beach. LeadingAge NC is a nonprofit membership association of over 65 retirement communities across the state, including both continuing care communities and affordable housing providers. Along with their 100 business members, LeadingAge NC works to champion the needs of North Carolinians as they age and to catalyze the development of innovative communities committed to promoting healthy aging in our society.

3-2-1... GO!! We had an awesome time at the 3-2-1 Deacon Dash for Down Syndrome on March 22nd! This is a 5K race fundraising event with an extra .11 mile added for a 3.21 total distance for the awareness and support of individuals with Down syndrome. Most people have 2 copies of 23 different chromosomes, but individuals with Down syndrome are born with 3 copies of the 21st chromosome. Medipack employees and family members raced with the "Brodie's Bunch" team in honor of Brodie Douglass, the son of Pharmacy Manager Rob Douglass and Dispensing Pharmacist Kristin Douglass. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Winston-Salem.
