🌿 Wellness Wednesday: The Healing Power of Laughter 🌿

Research shows laughter lowers stress hormones, increases feel-good brain chemicals like endorphins, and can even improve heart health. It also helps us bond with others, making us feel supported and connected.

Poet, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow reminds us:

“Into each life some rain must fall,
Some days must be dark and dreary;
But behind the clouds is the sun still shining,
And laughter will make it cheery.”

Find a moment today to laugh with someone, watch something that makes you smile, or simply notice the humor in everyday life. Your mind and body will thank you. 💚

Wellness Wednesday: Back-to-School Edition 🍎✏🎒

Here are a few simple ways to ease into the school year with more calm and connection:

✅ Prioritize bedtime : Typically kids need at least 9 hours of sleep to feel well rested.
✅ Breathe before reacting: Mornings can be hectic! A pause can shift the whole tone.
✅ Create a calm morning plan: Even 5 minutes of quiet time can shift the day (for even grownups).
✅ Pack them 1 comfort item: A small reminder of home can ease separation anxiety. A note and/or a small fidget can go a long way.
✅ Check in emotionally: Ask how they’re feeling, not just how school was.

Wishing you and your kiddos a smooth, supported start to the year 💛
