Tonight we had sous vide skirt steak with chimichurri, citrus goat cheese and beet salad with an orange balsamic dressing and a baked potato bar.

It was like going to a steakhouse for a fraction of the price, which for my family of four was perfect!

Umami heaven! Orange teriyaki chicken thighs served over a bed of fried brown rice and drizzled with a “bang bang” sauce.

It was a steak cook-off again tonight! I have to say, I think Emery edged me out in flavor, but apparently I got points for a superior texture.

Both steaks were juicy and full of earthy, herb and garlic flavor, complemented perfectly by this roasted gnocchi and mushroom side with a horseradish sauce and drizzled in truffle oil.

The kids wanted sushi, which I do not like. So I made this rice bowl with some baked salmon topped with my homemade chili crisp mixed with honey and fish sauce, sauted peppers and snow peas topped with green onions and a drizzle of sriracha. Umami flavor without the seaweed.

These were some of the best tacos I’ve ever made! Ground chicken, roasted sweet potato and black beans topped with homemade guac and quick pickled red onions. My fave condiment for tacos is a nice bead of sriracha.
Bonus: the leftover taco filling made amazing burritos the next day!

Honey mustard glazed salmon salad with roasted chickpeas for crunch. Adding brown rice made this a surprisingly hearty dinner!
