Let’s take a moment to reintroduce Dr. Lyly for anyone new around here! Dr. Lyly is a double board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in body, breast, and facial procedures. After earning her Bachelor of Science and Medical Doctorate, she completed a rigorous five-year general surgery residency and earned her board certification in general surgery. She then went on to conduct plastic surgery research during a year-long fellowship before completing a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the prestigious Vanderbilt University. She later earned her board certification in plastic surgery from the American Board of Plastic Surgery, achieving the title of a double board-certified plastic surgeon.
Dr. Lyly believes that our physical and emotional well-being are deeply connected. What many consider “cosmetic” can feel deeply reconstructive for a patient’s confidence, spirit, and sense of self. For many people, these procedures are a way to reconnect with who they are or who they want to be. A mother reclaiming her body after pregnancy, a survivor choosing joy after loss, or a young woman stepping into her confidence.
Plastic surgery is the most creative specialty in medicine. It requires technical precision, an artist’s eye, and a deep respect for the human story behind every procedure. For Dr. Lyly, it is not about vanity. It is about alignment and helping the outside reflect the way someone feels on the inside.
