Today, we took our Ambassadors and our Volunteer Patti on our quarterly "Thank you Lunch". Our Ambassadors work very hard welcoming our new residents. Patti has been working on a special organization project for the last few weeks. We enjoyed each others company.

We learned about the Indian Celebration of Holi. We snacked on Indian snacks from a local restaurant, Indian Pavilion here in Winter Garden. Talesha was able to share her heritage with our residents. A lesson in culture for many.

Today, The Summit of Winter Garden hosted our local Girl Scout community as they held their annual Thinking Day (Like a cultural fair). Our residents and the girls were able to learn about the following countries - Korea 🇰🇷, Japan 🇯🇵, France 🇫🇷, Ireland 🇮🇪, Italy 🇮🇹, Germany 🇩🇪,
and Barbados 🇧🇧. We were also helped by the FBLA chapter from West Orange High School.
The generations came together for a great afternoon. Thank you.

On February 12th, 11 Advanced Academics/FBLA members visited The Summit Assisted Living in Winter Garden to deliver 120 handmade Valentine’s cards and flowers to the residents. It was a heartwarming service project that brought plenty of smiles to our neighbors. FBLA is such a massive, far-reaching organization that we even met two residents who were either former members themselves or had relatives who were! Our students truly enjoyed the chance to give back and connect with those who share our FBLA roots.
