We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. We created a calendar (30 days) of OT activities for kiddos while they're out of school (these activities are just ideas for parents and they're not meant to substitute therapy).

The calendar is color coded according to 5 skills: GM, FM, executive function, visual motor, and sensory.

Feel free to share this document with anyone who might benefit from it.

Dear Parents,

In response to the Coronavirus, Creative Health is taking all precautions recommended to reduce the amount of germs that are brought into the clinic and ensure everyone’s safety. Toys, suspended equipment, and mats will continue to be disinfected on a daily basis. All therapists and children will sanitize their hands prior entering the treatment room.

Please, if you or your child has a fever in the last 24 hours or is coughing, stay home until medically cleared by a doctor.

Creative Health is closely monitoring the conditions and planning proactively for the future. We will keep you updated as additional information is available.

As of today, we will remain open to provide services to our clients. We are in this together and hopefully it passes soon.

Good core strength and stability provides a strong foundation for gross and fine motor skills.
Here the child is working on maintaining a supine flexion position for at least 20 seconds while motor planning his movements to propel himself forward.
You can also do this activity outdoors by tying a rope to two trees.

LEGO ACTIVITY FOR VISUAL-MOTOR AND SPATIAL AWARENESS

This activity is great for helping your child build their visual-motor skills and spatial awareness. Both areas are important for tracking words on the page when reading and spacing letters when writing.
