ATTENTION !! Smith Chiropractic phones and internet have been down since 9 am . If you have called and left a message we are not ignoring you . As soon as we have a way to check messages and return calls we will. We are not sure if Facebook messages will be able to be retrieved easier or not but you could try that option as well. Unfortunately we still do not know how much longer we will be down in communication but we are open and operating our normal hours .

We have been watching the progress of Tropical Storm Elsa. At this time, we plan on being open tomorrow and Wednesday unless something changes significantly as the weather for polk county is not forecasted to get too bad. We will keep you posted if this changes.

NEEDED
CHIROPRACTIC PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT/PHYSIO THERAPIST
Qualifications: Welcome patients with enthusiasm * Communicate respectfully with all patients and doctors, ability to multitask , reliable, professional and a team player.
The position would entail assisting one doctor with their SOAP notes in the computer at the patient's visit. You would need to know medical terminology, have computer finesse, learn our software program, learn how to mark fee slips, learn proper data entry to ensure EHR compliance.
Physiotherapy: This department needs help often due to the high volume of patients. You will need to learn the physiotherapy procedures and use of devices such as Avazzia, ultrasound, US/MS, other electric simulators, cold laser, etc.
Work hours: M, T, TH 7:30am to 6pm with lunch break from 12:30 to 2:00. Wed 1:30 – 6pm and Fri 7:30 to 12:30. Times may fluctuate depending upon patient’s needs. Lunch breaks also fluctuate according to schedule. Lunch break is 1 hour.

Good afternoon. As I’m sure many have seen, Governor DeSantis has issued a stay at home order for the entire state. As of recently, chiropractors were listed on the federal government’s list of essential businesses and providers. At this time, we will continue to operate unless otherwise directed so that we can continue to provide the best care available for our patient’s needs. We continue to ask that you reschedule your appointment if you are sick or have been exposed to a suspected or confirmed individual with COVID -19. We also ask you observe the 6ft distance of separation from others guidelines when able while in the office. We will continue to update this page as new information comes available. Thank you.

The Smith Chiropractic staff recognizes that this is a new and difficult time for everyone. We also understand that continued, uninterrupted treatment to address each patient’s condition is important. This will allow as comfortable as possible function in these stressful times. As such, we are continuing to adhere to strict guidelines when it comes to everyone’s well-being in regards to patient interaction and cleaning procedures. We would also like to extend the option for you to call or text when you arrive for your appointment if you would like to wait in your vehicle instead of the waiting area. We will then contact you to come in and you will be taken directly into the treatment room. At this time we will not be working on Wednesday until this situation passes. We will continue to update our patients of any changes to the scheduling or any changes that would affect our hours that come from the State or Federal government. The best way to get the quickest updates is either to call us, or to keep an eye out for updates on our page

Good afternoon. As many of you know, Polk County Schools will be closed until March 30th. We will continue to monitor this situation but at this time we plan to remain open for our normal office hours. Parents, if you need treatment please do not hesitate to come to your appointment with your children if necessary. We will update you if there are any changes to our hours as this situation develops.

Please share to get the word around . We are hiring an additional therapist due to the amount of patients needing afternoon appointments. This is a part time position for Monday - Thursday 2pm-6pm . Will also consider hiring a massage therapist who is interested in picking up at least 2 of the afternoons.

Good morning. There will be a slight schedule change this month. We will be closed Friday, 2/14/2020 and Monday 2/17/2020. In order to accommodate our patient's needs we will modify our 2/12/2020 and 2/19/2020 (both a Wednesday) half days to full days. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

Good afternoon. With next week being Christmas week we will not be working the 23rd, 24th, or 25th. We will return to normal hours on Thursday the 26th, Friday the 27th, and Monday the 30th. We will then again be off the 31st and the 1st. On the 2nd we resume normal business hours and schedule. The staff and I from Smith Chiropractic hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Years!
