We welcomed two new team members, and, as Fox 13's own Charley Belcher would say, they're all charged up to be here! These relay robots are designed to deliver medications, labs, supplies and other items between departments so our clinical staff can stay focused on patient care. One of our recent Team DAISY Award winners represented a true team effort! Our Emergency Department, Administrators on Duty and STAT nurses worked together on an unusual case that highlighted a dedication to extraordinary care. From the nomination: "The Emergency Department team comes together every day to save lives, often under the most stressful and unpredictable circumstances. There was one event in particular that captured the very essence of the teamwork and collaboration that defines this team—and it ultimately changed the course of a person's life. During a patient's stay on a nursing unit, their condition changed abruptly and these teams worked together to stabilize them. Despite these challenges, their commitment to the patient never wavered, and they continued to provide expert, compassionate care. Their efforts not only saved a life but also embodied the very best of nursing leadership, interdisciplinary teamwork, and compassionate care." 💙
