We couldn't agree more with Mothers of Veteran Su***de 💚

The nervous system reset is our focus with Reset 2 Wellness. Are you ready? The dates for our grief retreat are 10/9/26-10/10/26!

The intersection of trauma and grief is where the event of a loss meets the emotion of the loss. While grief is the process of yearning for someone who is gone, trauma is the nervous system’s response to the distressing way they were lost 🕊️

When these two forces collide, the healing process often feels like an internal tug-of-war:

➡️The Survival Loop: Trauma often "blocks" grief. The mind stays stuck on the how—the circumstances and the "what ifs"—making it difficult to focus on the who and the actual work of mourning.

➡️The Safety Gap: Grief requires quiet reflection, but trauma keeps the body in a state of high alert. It is hard to be still with your memories when your body doesn’t feel safe.

➡️Shattered Worldview: Trauma can strip away your sense of security, making the task of building a "new normal" feel impossible while you are still reeling from the shock.

Before you can fully process the weight of grief, your nervous system needs to feel grounded. Try and focus on small ways to reclaim safety—through routine, gentle breathing, or trauma-informed support. Healing doesn't mean the loss disappears; it means untangling the terror from the love so you can hold the memories without the heart-pounding fear 💜

We see you. We care about you. Keep going.

Prevention matters. Healthy childhoods heal communities and the world 🌎 💚

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month 💙
At FNCAC, we believe prevention begins with strong communities, informed individuals, and a shared commitment to keeping kids safe. Every conversation, every action, and every voice plays a role in creating a future where children can grow up safe, supported, and heard.

Throughout the month, we’ll be sharing educational resources, prevention tips, events happening at CACs across Florida and ways communities can stay informed and involved.

Join us, as we shine a light on prevention, uplift the work of Children’s Advocacy Centers across Florida, and empower communities to make a lasting difference.

Together, we can create a safer future for children.

Grief Wednesday💚

We had the opportunity to have an honest, open, authentic conversation about grief with Dr. Clarke on her YouTube channel, "Moving Forward with Dr. Diana Clarke." This time we discussed our own personal grief journey and the "why" behind why we do what we do at Brain and Soul Wellness, LLC

Diaclaimer: it may trigger your own grief journey and in that sense, call our office or make an appointment with your therapist.

Also, check out and subscribe to Dr. Clarke's "Moving Forward with Dr. Diana Clarke's YouTube channel and hear more stories of struggle, growth and healing.💚

In this episode of Moving Forward Talk, we explore the deeply personal experience of grief with a Licensed Independent Social Worker–Clinical who shares both...

There is no award for “doing too much.”

Your mental health hinges on your ability to show up for others and be present for yourself.

We are here to listen, be present and guide in the grief process.

The mind struggles to process it.
It keeps searching for someone who is no longer here.
The absence feels unreal.
The world feels unsteady.

Sudden death leaves a shock that lingers long after the loss.
It can make grief feel confusing, disorienting, and relentless.

Have you or a friend had to deal with sudden death?

We are grateful to be part of the mission and vision of Here Tomorrow in their efforts for su***de prevention. The founder, Joe, has created what he couldn't locate for his son who died by su***de. This annual fundraising gala allows individuals to be "here tomorrow."

We are glad to be in partnership with these wonderful, caring individuals. We were pleased to meet them in person, Joe, Dr. Terrie, Amanda, Emma, Joshua, Mariel and a few of their peer supporters. 🩵💚
