Hey mamas,

Are you tired of hearing about the new “low carb” or “water fasting” diet that a friend told you worked wonders for her but left you feeling drained and, well, hungry? Have you tried every new diet trend from here to tik tock with absolutely zero results (or maybe a little, but it all came right back bc you just couldn’t stick to it)? Does spending hours at the gym sound impossible because you’re chasing 1,2,3, or more kiddos around?

You’re not alone, and it’s not your fault that none of this is working. We are so programmed by society to seek out a “quick fix” for our health problems, that we often don’t understand the basics. But here’s the real secret: there’s no quick fix that’s going to work in the long run; real transformation takes a plan, and dedication to the plan. A plan that you can follow. A plan that you can be held accountable for. A plan that will last not just for 6 weeks, until bikini season is here, or until whatever big event comes and goes.

And this is where working with a coach, the right coach, will make all the difference. Maybe you have no idea how or what to plan: a good coach does. Maybe you can’t hold yourself accountable: a good coach will. Maybe you can’t “find the motivation “: a good coach can give you the discipline to work towards the results that WILL motivate you. Maybe you don’t know what to do when you get stuck: a good coach has the tools to keep you making progress.

Very excited to have completed this certification! Training women with a focus on pre- and post- natal fitness has been a goal of mine from the start of my journey to becoming a trainer/coach. I cannot stress enough the immense benefits of exercise throughout pregnancy and postpartum; I can vouch for that with my own pregnancies, but also science and research back me up 😉 There are a lot of myths out there about exercise during pregnancy and postpartum and it’s also important to make sure that you’re doing safe and effective exercise for each stage. So if you’re in this exciting stage of life, want to start or keep a fitness routine but have no idea where to start, or have general questions about training or fitness, please reach out to me!

Let’s talk about why I love progress pics! Seeing the journey, watching yourself meet your goals and become stronger, seeing that the scale doesn’t often fully reflect your progress, it’s all part of the journey. Fitness is more than just an end goal, it’s a lifestyle. Aesthetics are definitely a benefit, but it’s about so much more than that.
When I was pregnant, I gained more than I would have liked; I stayed active the whole time but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that my sweet tooth and cravings didn’t get the best of me at the end. Getting my ”body back” postpartum wasn’t my actual goal, though I did want to lose a certain amount of weight, I was more interested in seeing what this new body of mine could do!
And did I reach my goal weight? Yes, and then some! Did I go on any crazy diets or supplements? Nope. Did I spend hours at the gym or run myself ragged on cardio machines? Not even close. What did I do? I tracked my meals and snacks to make sure that I was getting enough, not too much, and the right nutrients. Tracked my macros and didn’t treat any of them like the enemy (I’m talking carbs in particular here… they are NOT your enemy, especially if you are active!) And I consistently showed up and followed my exercise programs. I haven’t been to a gym since Covid (though I’m very familiar with all of the equipment available in gyms), I have my own equipment at home; I’ve had to be flexible based on changing nap schedules etc, and bc of that in 30-45 min exercising each day, I was able to crush my goals!
Did it help that along the way I decided to study to get my personal training certification? Yea, definitely, but I did that so you don’t have to! If you’ve read this far, I’m here to tell you that you CAN reach your health and fitness goals, whatever they are. And you don’t have to severely restrict yourself or put your health at risk to do so (in fact, please don’t do that, it’ll wreak havoc in the long run). Hey everyone! The first boot camp class of our 6 week challenge starts tomorrow at 9 AM! If you want to join and haven’t reached out yet, get in touch with me so I can get your email to add to our email list (will be sending the zoom invites and any important information as it pops up). Each class will be 30-40 min. long, we’ll be using body weight so no need for any equipment, and I’ll be showing you modifications for both higher and lower impact movements (so whether you are a big fan of jumping, or jumping isn’t quite your thing, I’ve got you covered with a great workout either way). I’m excited to see who’s ready to challenge themselves these next 6 weeks, and hopefully we will see you there!
