🎨 Surrealism & Surviving the Unimaginable

When the unimaginable happens, life can feel… surreal.

Things that once made sense seem out of place. The world feels unfamiliar. Even ordinary moments can look different.

And yet, just like in surrealist art, there can be strength—and even beauty—in learning to live among those changes.

Recovery isn’t about making everything look the way it once did. It’s about finding ways to move forward, even when things feel out of order.

💬 If life feels surreal right now, you’re not alone.

Today, on Veterans Day, we pause to honor those who have served—and to hold space for the families and loved ones who stand beside them.

For many, this day is one of pride. For others, it brings complex emotions: grief, gratitude, or memories that are hard to carry. Wherever you find yourself today, know that your feelings are valid. 💙

Take a moment to breathe, remember, and care for yourself—you deserve it. 🌿

🧘‍♀️✨ Grounded, connected, and restored. ✨🌿

This weekend’s Mental Health Counselors of Central Florida (MHCCF) Creative Connections event—Gentle Yoga & Parts Work for Therapists—was a truly grounding morning of movement, reflection, and community.

As Mental Health Counselors of Central Florida’s Social & Special Events Chair, I was honored to organize this event as part of our Creative Connections Series, which I created to bring mental health professionals together each month for wellness and connection in creative ways.

Our facilitator, Dr. Coralis Solomon, MHCCF’s Diversity Chair and founder of Compassionate Pathways, led us through a powerful morning of gentle yoga and internal parts exploration—helping us reconnect with balance, self-compassion, and presence.

A special thank-you to Samantha Toffoli with Monte Nido for sponsoring this event and providing delicious refreshments, and to our MHCCF community for showing up and holding space for one another. 💙

📸 Swipe through to relive the calm, connection, and community that filled our morning. Stay tuned for our 2026 calendar!
