Rest and relaxation don’t just “happen.”

They start with knowing yourself—really knowing—what you need, what you want, and what fills you back up.

Taking a moment to pause isn’t a luxury. It’s part of building a life that supports your well-being.

You deserve time that’s just for you… without guilt, without explanation, and without having to earn it.

💬 When was the last time you gave yourself permission to truly rest?

✨ “Things You Might Hear in Therapy…”

These quotes come straight from the work we’ve been doing with women navigating anxiety, relational trauma, boundaries, and emotional stuckness.

We paired them with photos from a recent trip to an art museum—because healing isn’t always clinical. Sometimes it’s artistic, reflective, and found in everyday experiences.

If any of these quotes resonate, know this: you're not alone. These are real challenges being explored every day in therapy.

💬 Let us know which one spoke to you.

We’re so proud to share that our founder, Jessica Straughn, was published in the Spring 2025 issue of the Florida Counseling Association’s Newsletter!

Her article, “Cultivating Resilience: Advanced Trauma-Informed Techniques for Complex Trauma,” dives into how trauma impacts women in their professional identity, confidence, and relationships—and how thoughtful, evidence-based care can open the door to healing and renewed purpose.

She explores:
✅ How trauma shows up in career development and confidence
✅ Practical techniques like somatic grounding and values exploration
✅ SMART goal-setting for career reinvention
✅ The power of boundaries and voice in post-trauma growth

At Supportive Counseling, we believe healing is not only possible—it’s empowering.

A deep breath. A shared laugh. A quiet view of the city.

These small grounding moments from my recent travels reminded me how vital it is to stay connected to the present.

At Supportive Counseling, LLC, we often help trauma survivors and overwhelmed professionals build those tiny rituals of regulation—because they’re never just small.

What grounded you today?

You care deeply. You show up. You give until you’re empty. But when does helping become too much?

At Supportive Counseling, LLC, we support women in exploring what healthy, sustainable support looks like. Therapy can help you recognize when giving crosses the line into burnout—and how to step into boundaries that serve everyone.

Empathy shouldn’t cost you your peace.

There’s something about travel that helps us see things differently.

Walking through a new city, listening to different rhythms, pausing in unfamiliar places—it invites presence. It invites reflection.

This recent trip reminded me how healing sometimes requires us to step outside of our usual spaces—physically and emotionally.

At Supportive Counseling, LLC, we help women do just that: explore new perspectives, rewrite old narratives, and gently expand what’s possible.
