Hello , Due to the Hurricane I have rescheduled this for November 16th, 2024 I am an advanced Imago clinician of over 25 years. Having grown up with an alcoholic father and a co-dependent mother, in 1986, I was fortunate to help pioneer the ACOA/Codependence Movement here in Central Florida. This journey led me to establish the Adult Children of Alcoholics/Addicts and Codependence Trauma Treatment Center, (also in 1986) in order to assist others who’ve faced similar challenges. Therefore, I’m excited to announce an upcoming event that’s close to my heart. On November, 16th, 2024 I will be offering a Healing Trauma Intensive Training/Workshop from 9:45 AM to 6 PM. This experiential and psychoeducational training is designed for both clients and therapists and focuses on ACOA (PTSD/trauma-informed) issues. Therapists will earn 8 CEUs while gaining a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding ACOA/Codependence and the CPTSD/Trauma that can arise from such challenging environments. Additionally, we will also explore how ACOA/ Co-dependency and substance abuse issues impact relationships, acknowledging that substance abuse affects all areas of life. With over 39 years of experience as an addiction specialist—and as someone in recovery myself for the same amount of time—I am passionate about this work. In 1986, I opened up the Adult Children of Alcoholics/Addicts and Codependence Treatment Center and helped pioneer the ACOA/Codependence Movement here in Central Florida.

Hello all - This trauma informed healing and training intensive experiential and psychoeducational for clients (Individuals AND couples) as well as a training for Therapist (8 CEU’s) As I have a very strong belief that therapists can only take our clients as deeply as we have traveled ourselves.
In this intensive healing workshop/trauma training, we will explore at a very deep level, the trumatic/dysfunctional upbrinings so many of us experienced that became the root of all levels of our trauma -emotional, physical and intellectual and examines how this surfaces in ALL our relationships - and especially our romantic relationships. Couples,Individuals and Therapists will gain the tools and skills to heal this trauma. Everyone will complete a provocative, deep dive into the unconscious, workbook that will reveal deeper levels of the unconscious and trauma.
For Therapists: Any clients you refer will bring that workbook back to you as this workbook has the depth that will serve as a deeper guide for you as your travel the path of helping your client heal their deepest traumas. This workshop is especially good for clients with whom you might feel stuck.

We are ecstatic to announce that Katie Horton has joined the team at the Center for the Healing Arts in the Winter Park/ Maitland area!
Her specialized areas of expertise include LGBTQIA+, Transgender/Gender Identity Issues, Coming Out, and The Journey of Transitioning. In addition, being transgender herself, she brings a depth of clarity and understanding in working with the transgender and gender expansive community. She also has expertise in working with all ages (from 11yrs old through seniors) using creative tools in assisting clients to navigate all aspects of trauma, anxiety, AND depression regardless of their root causes.
