While we are always sad to see summer go in the mountains, one upside to the change that takes us one step closer to Old Man Winter is YELLOW ASPEN LEAVES!

With experts predicting the fall colors to come earlier and last shorter this year, now is the time to start planning your leaf peeping trip to Grand County! Here are some of my favorite Aspen Hikes:

1. Adams Falls + East Inlet Trail in Grand Lake: There are lots of pretty Aspens in this short waterfall access, but keep hiking past the waterfall for even more golden trees!
2. Riding the Granby Ranch or WPR Gondola: Enjoy gorgeous Goldens along both gondola rides and see the wedding ceremony sites at the top while taking in views of RMNP or the Continental Divide. Hike down through the aspens after the lift takes you to the top!
3. Columbine Lake: This is a full day but moderately easy hike that takes you to an alpine lake with beautiful Aspens along the way.

Or you can go a different route and have the horses do the legwork for you! Explore the Aspens on a 90 min or 2 hour horseback ride at

I’m super excited to be partnering with Gravity Haus for our first health and wellness event this Saturday! The group will be doing a very beginner friendly warm up stroll through town and along the Fraser River followed by a 50 min. all levels yoga flow that we will also do right along the river!
I love the new vision of Gravity Haus; they want to connect holistic providers in the area with their guests as well as create events that foster a sense of community while our town continues to grow at a rapid pace!
Meet at Gravity Haus at 10 am this Saturday, July 26 with proper sun protection, a big smile, and an open heart! Locals can skip the hike and meet at the yoga deck at 10:30!

Happy 4th of July! This holiday is usually the marker for me of when I can start doing larger hikes in grand county and ascend summits without hitting huge piles of snow at the top!

Get up into the mountains and take a mental health day with one of my favorite hikes in grand county from easy to hard:
# # # **Easy Hikes**
1. **Monarch Lake Loop (Arapaho National Forest)**
- A serene 4-mile loop with minimal elevation gain (113 ft), perfect for wildlife spotting (moose are common!) and families or large groups. Completing the entire hike is not necessary to take in the stunning views of the Lake and surrounding mountains.
# # # **Moderate Hikes**
2. # Creek Trail (across the street from my office!)**
- A 7 mile out and back hike to a beautiful waterfall (waterfall turns into a slow leak late in season so get there now!)
This trail is also gorgeous in fall with many yellow aspens, and a very fun cross country ski down in winter time.

# # # **Challenging Hikes**
3. # # Byers Peak (Near Fraser)**
- A local icon! This 8-mile round-trip climb gains 2,500+ ft, rewarding hikers with 360° views spanning Grand County to the Williams Fork Mountains .

# # # **Bonus: Seasonal Tips**
- **Wildflowers**: the most wildflowers I’ve ever seen in my life are up on Cottonwood pass between Granby and Hot Sulphur Springs… start at the bottom and enjoy the FIELDS OF COLUMBINES before ascending to the free campsites and bike trails.

I showed up Saturday morning to a beautiful house in Fraser for a private yoga class and the weather just so happened to be perfect to move the class outside! It was such a magical start to summer!
