April is Occupational Therapy Month, and we’re celebrating the incredible impact of pediatric OT! 💙

Pediatric occupational therapy helps children grow, learn, and thrive in their everyday lives. From building fine motor skills like handwriting 🖍️✏️and using scissors ✂️, to improving coordination, balance, and sensory processing, OTs support the whole child.
Through early intervention, therapists help infants and children develop essential skills and navigate daily routines with confidence. Whether it’s getting dressed👕, feeding 🍴themselves, or focusing in school📚, the goal is always the same: greater independence and success in daily activities.

What makes pediatric OT truly special is its family-centered approach 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. Caregivers are key partners in the process, learning strategies to support their child’s development every step of the way.

Pediatric OTs also play an important role in supporting mental health, helping children manage social-emotional challenges and identify early signs of concern.

They work with children with a wide range of needs, including autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, sensory processing differences, and orthopedic injuries.

And the best part?
It often looks like play!
🛝 Therapy sessions are engaging and fun, helping kids build strength, coordination, and confidence while doing what they love most.

Did you know today is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day? 💚 We did!
Today we’re showing our support by wearing green and helping raise awareness for all the amazing kids living with CP. Join us in spreading awareness, kindness, and support every voice matters! 💚

Up to 10,000 infants are diagnosed with cerebral palsy (CP) in the United States each year, making it the most common motor disability in childhood. Roughly 1 in 345 children in the U.S. has been identified with CP.
