After the unseasonably GORGEOUS weather we just had it's back to our Midwest reality. For many this means dealing with SAD (Seasonal Affect Disorder).
If you’ve noticed:
• Lower mood
• More fatigue
• Pulling away from others
• Sleeping more but still feeling tired
• Less motivation than usual
You might be experiencing Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).
This isn’t about willpower. Seasonal shifts can genuinely impact brain chemistry and emotional regulation.
In therapy, we can:
☀️ Identify seasonal patterns
🧠 Strengthen coping tools
💬 Process what feels heavier this time of year
📅 Build supportive structure and routines
You don’t have to just “push through” until spring.
If winter feels hard, reach out for help!
