Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who stepped forward in one of our nationโs darkest hours. 24 years later, the images and emotions remain powerful reminders of how fragile life isโand how resilient we can be when we choose to come together.
In a world that often feels divided, itโs worth reflecting on the unity we experienced in the days after 9/11. Strangers looked out for one another. Communities showed up with love and compassion. Differences faded in the face of shared humanity. That spirit of solidarity is what carried us through then, and itโs what we need now.
As we face new challenges and painful divisions, letโs remember that healing and hope are found in community. Letโs be the neighbors who check in, the friends who listen, the helpers who step up. Unity doesnโt erase our struggles, but it reminds us that none of us has to walk through them alone.
Today, may we honor those lost by choosing to live with greater kindness, courage, and care for one another. Because our greatest strength has always beenโand will always beโwhen we stand together.
