So many years have passed and over time I've been convinced family is given to us for growth...as a Believer in Jesus, I further believe they are for sanctification.....the opportunities to practice patience, lending a hand, forgiving, loving, sharing, self control, kindness, gentleness and so many more things. As Mothers Day once again nears.....I encourage anyone out there dreading it because they had an awful mother or no mother in their life, mourning their mom or the loss of a little one who would've made them a mom, or are still yearning to be a mom......take heart, God loves you and can fill that void.....may be take a moment and see what you could take and learn from the family you do have, whatever that looks like. Love and hugs this Mother's Day.

Wow, thanks for all the check ins, so loved!!! We are safe and thankful. If anyone is interested in helping the Madison County area the Madison County Chamber of Commerce shared this (I've found sending FB message to be the fastest). God is good and will restore the broken :) :
Madison County Emergency Management has asked that if you looking to volunteer to help with clean up, that you call the Madison County Chamber of Commerce starting at 7am this morning. The outpouring has been amazing!

The New Year is coming up...can you feel it?!?!
Sometimes the pressure of an obligatory resolution can be intimidating! Sometimes the list of changes we wish to see in ourselves is so long and overwhelming it's hard to know what to choose to change. How about taking some time and thinking (or better yet, praying) of a focus word for the year. A word, even a phrase or scripture that keeps you focused on an area you'd like to grow in throughout the year (Joy-full, humble servant, patience, peacemaker, listen, the bible is powerful, these have been a few of mine over the years) .
