In this powerful and personal blog, Casie Johnston, LPCC, shares her own experience with chronic pain and the reality of navigating grief, identity changes, and learning how to live a new version of life. From the initial shock to finding acceptance, she highlights the importance of support, setting boundaries and developing healthy coping strategies along the way.

Meet Tori, a beautiful part of our Wellness Team who brings balance, intention and compassion into everything she does. 🤍

As a Usui Reiki Level 3 practitioner and 200 hr RYT, Tori believes true wellness comes from nurturing both the mind and body. Through Reiki and personalized yoga sessions, she creates space for healing, self-reflection, and growth. Her approach is all about meeting yourself where you are, building awareness and finding beauty in the process of becoming. ✨

Fun fact: When she’s not helping others feel grounded and restored, Tori loves expanding her crafting skills and spending time with her hedgehog Harriet and her cats, Eddie and Bobby 🐾

With the Insightful Empowerment Scholarship Program of East Palestine we provide funding for tuition, books, fees and parking for a masters level YSU student in the counseling or social work programs, not only to provide care to the residents of East Palestine, but also to eliminate barriers to treatment and strengthen the life of the chosen candidate with an opportunity for advanced education.

Scholarship recipients will also complete a professional internship at Insight where they will work with clients in the East Palestine area or surrounding communities.
