🐴 Rosie’s Coming Home…
What was supposed to be a beautiful new chapter turned into a painful life lesson — for all of us.
If you’ve ever trained an animal, built something from scratch, or poured your soul into a project… only to have it misunderstood, mishandled, or dismissed — this is for you.
Over a year ago, my daughter began working with a young Mustang named Rosie.
Rosie was everything you could hope for — willing, curious, trusting. By her 4th ride, she was out on the trails. On her 6th, she was playing in the ocean.
The goal was to eventually sell her — to a home that would honor her spirit and continue her journey.
A buyer came forward from out west. The transport was long. The transition was rushed. And sadly, within days, we got the call — Rosie wasn’t working out. She was being called “aggressive.” Her sweet nature was misunderstood.
The same horse who followed us like a puppy… who let toddlers brush her mane… who never bucked, bolted, or bit…
Was now being labeled as dangerous.
We could have walked away. But we don’t do that here. Not to horses. Not to our own.
So Rosie is coming home.
The only problem? Almost every dollar from her sale was used to cover medical expenses after my daughter’s surgery. That money’s gone.
But this is more than just a financial loss.
This is about doing what’s right — not what’s easy.
And I believe when we lead with integrity, community shows up.
If you’d like to support Rosie’s return — and be part of a bigger message about compassion, commitment, and doing the right thing when it’s hard — we’re creating a few options:
💛 Donations welcome via Venmo/PayPal
💛 “Rosie Returns” T-shirts coming soon
💛 Equine services available locally (groundwork, nutrition consults, second opinion sessions)
💛 Share this post with a horse-lover who gets it
Rosie’s story isn’t over.
It’s just entering a new chapter.
And we’re writing it with love, grit, and a whole lot of hope.
