Please join us in welcoming our new Director of Nursing, Jessica Gresser!
Jessica began her nursing career in a cardiac step-down/med-surg setting, where she built a strong clinical foundation and developed a deep appreciation for patient-centered care in high-acuity environments. During her time in this role, she discovered that while she valued the fast pace and critical thinking, she was really drawn to building relationships and continuity of care—something she found more deeply in long-term care.
Her transition into long-term care started through floor nursing with North Shore, along with a travel contract that further broadened her experience. It was during this time that she truly found her passion for caring for residents over time, getting to know them and their families, and being part of their ongoing journey.
She later had the opportunity to work in hospital-at-home coordination, which gave her a wider perspective on care transitions, systems, and how we can better support patients across settings. That experience ultimately led her back to long-term care in an ADON role, where she was able to combine clinical leadership with her passion for this population.
She is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to now join the Wisconsin Rapids team as Director of Nursing. Long-term care holds a special place for her because it allows her to make a meaningful, lasting impact—not just on residents, but on families and the teams who care for them every day.
Jessica is a wife and mom, and her family is a huge part of her life. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, staying active, spending time outdoors, and being with her family. She values balance, connection, and creating a positive, supportive environment both at home and at work.
She is really looking forward to getting to know everyone and working together to continue providing excellent care and building a strong, supportive team.
