North Shore Health was proud to sponsor an event recognizing and honoring the important work of caregivers for National Family Caregivers Month.

It's a time to salute the often-unseen work of family members, friends, and neighbors who provide care for loved ones with illnesses, disabilities, or other health conditions.

November is National Family Caregiver Appreciation Month and we celebrated with some of our great caregivers at an appreciation event at Covenant Community Presbyterian Church this week. THANK YOU CAREGIVERS for all that you do and THANKS to the many donors of our event. Check out the donors here:

At Wisconsin Rapids Health Services, our resident-led monthly Scrapbooking Club is a cherished tradition - and this month, things got spook-tacular! 👻🕸️

This month’s theme? Halloween! Our creative residents rolled up their sleeves and crafted festive, frightfully fun pages full of memories, decorations, and personal touches that captured the spirit of the season. 🖍️📸

This club isn’t just about crafts - it’s about connection, creativity, and celebrating our stories together. We love seeing our residents take the lead and inspire one another each month.

Residents got into the fall spirit with a festive pumpkin painting activity to help decorate our center for the season! 🍂🧡

But they didn’t stop there…they decided to spice things up with a pumpkin painting contest! 🎨✨

With brushes in hand and creativity flowing, residents competed in three fun categories:

👻 Most Spookiest
🌟 Most Creative
🎭 Most Original

We were blown away by the imagination, laughter, and teamwork that filled the room. Every pumpkin told a story, and every participant brought their own flair to the table.

💜👟 Walking for a Cause 💜👟

This year, our team proudly participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Marshfield - walking in honor of the many lives touched by this disease and standing united in the fight for a future without Alzheimer’s. 🌿💪

With every step, we carried the names, stories, and memories of those we care for, those we’ve lost, and those still fighting. Our team showed up with heart, hope, and a shared purpose—to make a difference in our community and beyond. 💜

We’re so grateful to be part of such an inspiring event alongside others who are just as passionate about raising awareness and supporting this important cause for the Alzheimer's Association. Together, we walk. Together, we remember. Together, we fight. 🧠✨

Where do ghosts buy their Halloween candy? At the “ghost-ery” store. We know, we know, a little “candy corny,” but we had to in the spirit of the season! 👻🎃🍬

We are accepting candy donations for our Halloween event, so next time you are at the ghost-ery store, if you can, please pick up some candy and donate it to Wisconsin Rapids Health Services. You can drop donations off until Oct. 20.

🎃 Calling All Ghouls, Goblins & Generous Hearts! 👻

We're hosting a Trick-or-Treat event for families in our community, and we need your help to make it magical for our residents and staff as they hand out treats to all the little witches and superheroes who stop by!

Donations Accepted: All types of individually wrapped candy are welcome! (Please no homemade treats).

Your sweet donation will help bring joy to our residents, our staff, and the many children who will join us for a fun and festive afternoon.

Nothing says fall like the smell of fresh apple pie and our talented residents took the lead in teaching how it’s done! From adding apples to mixing spices and crimping crusts, they shared their favorite tips and treasured techniques.

It was a wonderful way to celebrate the season, spark memories, and pass down delicious traditions. And yes, the apple pie was just as amazing as it smelled! Thank you to our resident bakers for making this fall day extra sweet. ♥🍎🥧
