🎃 Calling All Ghouls, Goblins & Generous Hearts! 👻

We're hosting a Trick-or-Treat event for families in our community, and we need your help to make it magical for our residents and staff as they hand out treats to all the little witches and superheroes who stop by!

Donations Accepted: All types of individually wrapped candy are welcome! (Please no homemade treats).

Your sweet donation will help bring joy to our residents, our staff, and the many children who will join us for a fun and festive afternoon.

Nothing says fall like the smell of fresh apple pie and our talented residents took the lead in teaching how it’s done! From adding apples to mixing spices and crimping crusts, they shared their favorite tips and treasured techniques.

It was a wonderful way to celebrate the season, spark memories, and pass down delicious traditions. And yes, the apple pie was just as amazing as it smelled! Thank you to our resident bakers for making this fall day extra sweet. ♥🍎🥧

🏴‍☠️ Ahoy, Mateys! 🎬

We had a swashbucklin’ good time celebrating National Talk Like a Pirate Day and National Cinema Day, all in one fun-filled celebration! ⚓🍿

Our crew got into the spirit with pirate costumes, fish and chips, gold and silver candies, eye patches, mustaches, rings, temporary tattoos, and even a pirate language lesson! 🐟💰

Residents voted on the perfect pirate-themed movie for the occasion, "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" to celebrate National Cinema Day in true pirate style. 🏴🎥

Yo-ho-ho and a great time was had by all!

Residents had a wonderful time creating autumn-themed decorations to brighten up their rooms. Crafting with Ruth is always a favorite - her creativity and warmth make every project extra special! 💛🧡

This month’s theme was fall crafts, and residents got creative making beautiful farmhouse-style door hangers to bring a touch of autumn to their rooms! 🎨🏡🍁

From picking the perfect ribbon to choosing seasonal flowers, everyone added their own flair - and had a blast doing it! We love seeing our community come together through creativity. Great job, Craft Club!

🌍✈️ Armchair Travel Adventures 🪑🧳

No passport? No problem! Residents have been globetrotting from the comfort of their favorite chairs in our newest activity - armchair travel!

Last month, we journeyed to Greece, where we explored its breathtaking islands, soaked up the Mediterranean sunshine (virtually!), and tasted a few delicious Greek-inspired snacks.

This month, we headed north to Scotland, where we discovered the magic of sheepdogs in action, sampled local flavors, and even heard the legend of Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster! 🐉🎶🍪

Each month brings a new destination, new flavors, and lots of laughter and learning. Next month, we are traveling to France!

🍏 Cooking with Clayton 👨‍🍳

This month’s Cooking Club was full of surprises! Executive Director Clayton led the way with a unique recipe that had everyone guessing - blue cheese apple appetizers. 🍯🍎

At first, residents weren’t sure about the flavor combo...apples, walnuts, blue cheese, and warm honey? But one bite was all it took - they were hooked! 😍

“I didn’t think I’d like it - now I want the recipe!” was the most common review of the day.

We love seeing our community try new things and share laughs (and seconds!) together. Stay tuned for next month’s delicious adventure! 🧑‍🍳💬

🌈✨ There's no place like trivia! ✨🌈

In celebration of "The Wizard of Oz" premiering on August 25, 1939, residents enjoyed a magical morning filled with fun brain teasers, a special treat of Yellow Brick Road Rice Krispies, and a visit from some very special guests!

Our amazing staff dressed up to bring trivia to life for everyone.

🎬 Fun fact: Judy Garland was just 16 when she starred as Dorothy in the movie.
