inally founded as Higgins Ambulance Service in 1943, United Emergency Medical Response has strived to constantly provide top quality patient care through aggressive protocols, skills competency testing and monitoring, in-house quality assurance reviews of all runs, and in-house training that is conducted in cooperation with our Medical Director, Dr. Keith Wesley. We have staff members who are instructors for all mandatory and optional certifications that we carry-CPR, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, AMLS, and state certified EMS Instructors who oversee licensing recertification training. We are also in the process of developing a curriculum to provide in-house Critical Care Paramedic recertification training for our staff. Our scope of care ranges all the way from EMT-Basic up to Critical Care Paramedic. All of our duty officers who answer your call have received paramedic training at minimum, and are able to ask you questions about what your ambulance needs are to make sure that you will be transported by an appropriately licensed crew. We strictly follow statutes and protocols related to critical care transport and all other EMS license levels, so you can rest assured that the ambulance thatβs transporting you will meet your specific needs. Remember-Wisconsin is a βHome Ruleβ state. This means that you can choose who you want to transport you. By calling 911 you will most likely get the ambulance service contracted to your area-even if you request another service. If you choose to call United Emergency Medical Response directly, you will be transported by professionals who the best in the business at what they do-and you will be treated with the respect and dignity that you deserve.
