I’m Tarah Mancl, owner and primary yoga teacher of The Wellness Barn Studio. I am a Board Certified Health Coach and member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I take a holistic approach to Health Coaching that includes nutrition, physical activity and movement, stress reduction and mindfulness, and strengthening of the mind + body connection. This approach is informed by my personal experiences, training in Integrative Nutrition, and study of behavioral cognitive therapies. When we work together, we won’t just focus on what you eat. We’ll carefully examine all the elements that contribute to your wellness, identify goals, and find sustainable methods that work for you. 💗🌿 February Yoga Theme at The Wellness Barn Studio: Return to the Heart 🌿💗

As we move through the quiet beauty of winter, nature gently reminds us to slow down, soften, and turn inward. February is often centered around love — but here at The Wellness Barn Studio, we’re expanding that idea beyond a single day or relationship and bringing it back to where love truly begins: the heart.

This month’s yoga theme is Return to the Heart — a journey of self-love, compassion, connection, and inner warmth.

Throughout February, our classes will focus on heart-opening movement, intentional breath, and moments of stillness designed to release tension, build strength with softness, and create space — not just in the body, but in the mind and spirit as well.

We’ll explore what it means to:
🌿 Move with compassion instead of pressure
🌿 Strengthen while staying gentle and present
🌿 Let go of emotional heaviness and winter stiffness
🌿 Cultivate gratitude and deeper self-connection

Winter can feel heavy, busy, and draining — and this month is your invitation to pause, breathe, and refill your cup. To warm the body, open the chest, soften the shoulders, and reconnect with the part of you that holds love, resilience, and peace.

Whether you’re flowing, slowing down, or finding stillness on the mat, each class will gently guide you back to your heart — your center of balance, breath, and inner calm.

Mother Nature is finally giving us a break — and it looks like we have a full week of classes lined up!

After the bitter cold had us feeling a little pent up at home, many of us may be craving connection, community, and movement. Come back to the studio for all that and more — a warm space to breathe, stretch, reset, and reconnect.

Lake Arrowhead Yoga Update

Due to the bitterly cold temperatures expected this Friday, we have decided to stay safe and cancel yoga practice at Lake Arrowhead Clubhouse on Friday, January 23.

Your safety and well-being always come first.

Weekly Yoga Classes

There’s a chill in the air this week, and it’s the perfect reminder to step inside and let the studio warm you — not just from the temperature, but from the feeling of being held, welcomed, and supported exactly as you are. The mats are ready, the space is cozy, and the energy is grounding and kind.

On a personal note, I’ll be offering a slightly lighter schedule this week, allowing for some personal business to be cared for- thank you, as always, for your understanding and continued support.

We’re also continuing with this month’s theme: Begin Where You Are — an invitation to meet yourself honestly on the mat, without comparison or expectation. Whether you’re feeling energized, tired, motivated, or simply curious, there is room for all of it here.

As we step into the first full week of the New Year, our focus is simple and steady:

Begin where you are.

Not where you think you “should” be.
Not where you were last year.
Not where anyone else is.

Just here — in this season of your life, with the body, energy, and heart you have today.

This week, our practice invites gentle awareness, curiosity, and compassion. Each breath becomes an invitation to soften expectations, release comparison, and honor the beautiful truth that growth begins right here — one mindful moment at a time.

You don’t have to be flexible, strong, or “ready.”
You only have to show up — exactly as you are.

Born out of a love for deep transformation, The Wellness Barn Studio is committed to meeting you where you are and taking you forward to where and WHO you want to be. Yoga is a unique discipline that helps you attain physical and mental fitness through techniques of movement (asanas) and meditation. We offer a variety of yoga classes each week.
