Wise Fire & Rescue is proud to announce the upcoming delivery of our new Advanced Life Support ambulances, made possible through funding from VAOEMS and the Town of Wise.

Due to production delays related to COVID-19, these units were originally ordered nearly a year apart but will now be delivered together — allowing us to place both into service at the same time.

These ambulances will enhance our ability to provide high-quality emergency medical care and improve safety for both our patients and providers. Each unit will be equipped with updated stretchers, powered lift systems, and additional upgrades prior to being placed into service.

Final preparations are underway, with delivery expected by the end of the month.

We are grateful for the continued support from VAOEMS and the Town of Wise in helping us serve our community at the highest level.

We’re excited to announce that Wise Rescue Squad has received a new power-load stretcher system from Ferno—a major step forward in patient care and provider safety.

This equipment was made possible through funding from the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services (VAOEMS) grant program, along with the continued support of the Town of Wise.

The new system helps reduce lifting injuries, improves efficiency on calls, and ensures safer, smoother transport for our patients.

We’re grateful for the investment in our crews and our community. This is what progress in EMS looks like. 💪🚑
