💜 Stalking Awareness Month 💜
January is Stalking Awareness Month, a time to shed light on a form of abuse that is often misunderstood, minimized, or hidden. Stalking isn’t just unwanted attention - it’s a pattern of behavior meant to control, intimidate, or cause fear, and it can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background.
Stalking may look like repeated calls or texts, showing up uninvited, monitoring social media, following someone, or using technology to track movements. Even when it doesn’t leave physical marks, the emotional and mental impact can be deep and long-lasting - affecting a person’s sense of safety, health, and well-being.
At the Health Wagon, we believe safety is a critical part of health. If you or someone you love is experiencing stalking or feels unsafe, you are not overreacting - and you are not alone. Support, resources, and confidential conversations can make a difference.
