The Davey’s Cord reminds us that true success isn’t measured by titles or tassels, but by hearts that serve. Each cord honors David Shane Meade’s life of faith, compassion, and giving - inspiring seniors to follow his example through community service and love for others.

🎓 Seniors who complete 25 hours of service may proudly wear their blue Davey’s Cord at graduation - a sign of purpose, compassion, and hope.

JI Burton High School, Ridgeview High School, and UVA Wise nursing are already participating through their respective programs. The high school cords will be a brilliant blue, while the college cords will be blue with silver and white!

🩺 From physical exams, labs, heart and diabetes screenings, dental services, mental health support, and cancer screenings - to mammograms, vaccines, nutrition education, specialty clinics, and more - this is healthcare without barriers, without judgment, and without cost.

We were proud to be part of a powerful AANP Health Policy Conference focused on advocacy, leadership, and real change. Under the strong leadership of Dr. Valarie Fuller, the conference highlighted how collective voices can move policy forward.

We’re already seeing the impact of that work, with encouraging follow-up coming out of our meetings on Capitol Hill. Advocacy matters - and we’re grateful to stand alongside leaders and organizations committed to improving access to care for the communities we serve.

Due to the forecast for additional snow and worsening road conditions, all Health Wagon clinics will be closing early today at 12:00 PM (noon) to help keep our patients and staff safe.
