We have been getting lots of questions about the covid vaccine and wanted to share the following in answer to the most frequently asked:

1. Our practice supports the AAP recommendations regarding covid vaccine which states that the vaccine is recommended for all children 6 months to 2 years, as well as children older than 2 years with a health risk factor, or those whose parents want them to receive the vaccine.

2. We are currently unable to order covid vaccine. In accordance to Massachusetts Department of Public Health guidelines, when the vaccine does become available, we plan to offer it at visits as well as vaccine clinics which will be scheduled on our website.

The HPV vaccine is recommended for all children around age 11 in order to protect against HPV infection and HPV related cancers. We routinely recommend it for our patients at their 11 or 12 year old well visits. While the vaccine was introduced nearly 20 years ago, misinformation about the HPV vaccine remains common. Read on for answers to some common questions about the vaccine.

Fifteen years of research and monitoring have continued to show that the HPV vaccine is safe. A rise in misinformation could reverse this.
