It is with profound sadness and grief that we announce the recent unexpected passing of Ellen Granoth, a past member, EMT and Secretary for Wolcott Volunteer Ambulance. Our sincere condolences extended to Bob, Michael, Robyn and the entire Granoth family. Ellen was a beautiful sole who gave selflessly of herself to aid others during their time in need. As a past Chief, her husband Bob lead and guided our organization during the mid to late 1980’s, Ellen steadfast by his side. Her dedication to WVAA was second to none. Ellen was always the first to volunteer, always willing to assist with the planning and coordination of WVAA events, parties, and anniversaries. Ellen and Bob were always one of the first to arrive to assist in setting up and one of the last to leave making sure all tasks were completed.
