First up in our series...Neuroplex from Standard Process. Used to support the Nervous System & Peripheral Nerves, Cognitive function & the Endocrine System (glands & organs that produce and release hormones). What's inside? It contains Vitamin B6 which supports neurotransmitter (chemical signal) formation which is essential for brain function. Vitamin B6 along with Niacin (B3) are essential in the Nervous System. Niacin supports the development of neurons which are the foundation for transmitting electrical & chemical signals throughout the body! What is chiropractic? It's a hands on Healthcare profession focused on treating & preventing musculoskeletal disorders in relation to the spine and Nervous system. So, what's a nervous system? That's a complex network & system that controls our bodily functions and allows us to move, sense & think. There's two systems; Central Nervous System (CNS) and Peripheral Nervous System (PNS). The CNS is our brain & spinal cord, while the PNS is our sensory & motor nerves and Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) *we'll talk about this more later* Our CNS & PNS work TOGETHER to allow us to function. Our sensory input (5 senses; touch, taste, see, hear, smell) in the PNS sends signals to our Brain (CNS) to determine how our body should respond and sends those new signals to our muscles & organs. Some times, these signals do not work properly so Chiropractic Care comes in to help realign the spine and help our Nervous System heal & work properly.
