The holidays can hold so many things at once.
Joy and grief. Magic and exhaustion. Full hearts and heavy ones, too.
This season, I see the ones for whom the holidays aren’t always joyful, those navigating loss, change, or the quiet weight of missing what once was. I see those working hard in their sobriety, moving through a season where gatherings, traditions, and expectations can make that commitment feel even heavier.
I see those who are far from family, carrying love and longing across miles, missing familiar faces and traditions.
I see the moms and dads out shopping late, stretching budgets, wrapping gifts after bedtime, doing their very best to create magic while feeling the financial pressure that often comes with this season...and still showing up with so much love.
I see the moms who step away for a moment of self-care, feeling the tug of guilt even while knowing they need that pause to keep going.
And I see the dads who hold down the fort, making space for that rest, understanding how much it matters.
I see the grandparents watching their own children recreate traditions they once lovingly built, learning how to step back while still leaning in, finding new ways to be part of the magic.
The holidays aren’t just one thing. They’re many things, happening all at once.
And if you’re feeling all of it, you’re not alone. You’re seen.
This season, I hope you feel recognized for the love, effort, and quiet strength you bring, even in the moments no one else notices.
